Cuban Burger

If I had to pick one sandwich to eat for the rest of my life it would be a Cuban. I am drooling just thinking about it. I am not a big mayo fan, but this is the sandwich I make an exception for. I was reading my my blog roll awhile ago, and this recipe caught my eye. I am sorry but it doesn't get any better for me. After a few adjustments of my own I sunck my teeth into this baby. Our guests raved about the burger, and I can't wait to make it again! Enjoy! Ingredients serves 4
1 1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 tsp cumin
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp fresh oregano, chopped
1/2 tsp lime zest
1 1/2 tsp fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 tsp mayo
4 tsp yellow mustard
4 sliced smoked ham
4 sliced swiss cheese
pickles
4 hard hamburger buns

Instructions
Mix the garlic, lime juice, lime zest, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper into the pork. Form the pork into 4 patties about 3/4 of an inch thick. Broil (or grill) the burgers until cooked, about 5-6 minutes per side. Top with ham and swiss and place under broiler till cheese is melted (about 1-2 minutes). Place burgers on buns and top with mayo, mustard, and pickles.
