Weekly Meal Plan 2/9 - 2/15

Good Evening!

What a wonderful weekend we had! We were in the Wisconsin Dells at The Wilderness for the weekend for a little family time and to celebrate my birthday.

On Friday,I was off work and packed up the house while Kellen was a daycare and Ron worked. I also managed to sneak off for lunch with my mom and our friend Linda to a favorite restaurant, S.A.L.T. We shared these delicious mussel with chorizo and red wine and a sunflower sprout and beet salad- yum!

After lunch, we finished up at home and hopped into the car to head to the Dells. It is about 2 1/2 hours from Green Bay and we made a quick pit stop at Culver's for burgers on the road. Once we got there we checked in adn waited for for everyone else to arrive. The nice thing about the Wilderness is that there is a 3 bedroom option so we were all able to be together, and the adults had a nice sitting area after the kids went to bed. However, finding your room? That is another story.... I was happy that we had been there before!

Once everyone got there we hung around and crashed early so we could get an early start at the pool! The boys loved playing in the pool! There are slides and even a lazy river. We rode up and down that more times than I can count! We ordered pizza in our room and relaxed. Kellen napped and my sister and Gabriel checked out the big arcade and ropes course area.

Water Babies:

In the evening, we headed over to The Field's Steakhouse for dinner. We feasted on oysters, crabcakes, and tenderloin. When we came back we put our suits back on and went for another turn around the river. Later in the room we had chocolate cake and champagne. Ron and I were hoping to get drinks, but we were too tired and crashed early (old age kicking in already I am told...)

The next day we grabbed breakfast and were back at the pool. This time we went to the large wave pool and the kids had a blast.

Chasing Uncle Ron is very fun!

Perfect birthday weekend!

After swimming we changed and packed up, but not before a quick stop to the arcade to ride the go-karts!

This week we are having friends over a few nights, and celebrating Valentine's Day with a little traditional steak grilling. I have been missing grilled food, and we decided that we are going to throw a few brats on too- summer grilling in February? Sounds great to me!
